Supporting access to make music.

A charity promoting engagement in music-making
- Mission -

Supporting access to music making opportunities so that our communities are enriched by engaging music participation.

Our Aim

Has always been to encourage and support Australians to become creators and makers of music with the goal of having them experience the life-changing benefits that active music making can bring.

Our Partners

The support of our Partners allows Soundhouse Music Alliance to provide such an extensive and wide-ranging programme of grants and awards and we are very grateful for all their support.

A little it about Soundhouse

Soundhouse aims to help schools, teachers, community members and musicians alike make the best use of the emerging music technologies, and thus become creators of music rather than passive consumers.

The vision of such a facility was inspired by the late Geoff Brash AM, and Martin Carlson OAM. This original Soundhouse was supported in its early growth by a range of industry companies including Roland, Yamaha, Tascam, Teac, Kawai and TDK, but went on to become an integral part of Arts Centre Melbourne education and community access programming.
