All groups that can you can apply to join are listed in the Groups panel in the left sidebar. Clicking the Group name will take you to the group's home page where you can read information about the group, including its mission statement. To apply to join a group you may clidk Request membership link in the Groups panel in the left sidebar.

If you are already a member of a listed group, the Join link will not be available (N/A).
