Leigh holds a deep passion for music education and music creation in all forms, drawing from a diverse background in the music industry. After studying as an orchestral musician at the Victorian College of the Arts, Leigh’s performance career unfolded across a wide range of musical genres, while embarking on an equally fulfilling journey as a music educator in schools across Victoria.

Since joining Yamaha Music Australia in 2018, Leigh’s passion for music education has only grown. As part of the Yamaha Music Education team, Leigh works on supporting the organization’s outreach initiatives, as well as within the Yamaha Music School team.

Leigh resolutely believes in the positive influence that quality music education has on people and society, an insight derived from personal experiences, as well as witnessing its transformative effects on students and colleagues over the years.

With his recent appointment to the Music for All board, Leigh looks forward to expanding his contribution to the charity’s endeavours and remains dedicated to improving the accessibility of music education and creation throughout Australia in all areas of his life.
